The 29-year-old looks set to become Leeds’ fourth summer addition after a permanent move from Borussia Monchengladbach. The clubs are believed to have agreed an initial £6.8 million fee, potentially rising to £8.5 million with add-ons.

Elvedi was left out of Monchengladbach’s squad for Saturday’s friendly against Aston Villa. After the game, head coach Eugen Polanski indicated a move was imminent, pointing to financial factors and the player’s wish to leave after 11 years at the club.
