Why Germany are playing white shorts against Paraguay | OneFootball

Germany will face Paraguay in the World Cup round of 32 wearing their white home shirt, paired with white shorts.

According to BuLi News, Julian Nagelsmann’s side are departing from their usual black shorts, which they used against Curaçao and Côte d’Ivoire in the group stage.

The change has been made because black would not provide sufficient contrast with Paraguay’s all-dark navy kit.

It is Germany’s first World Cup knockout match since winning the 2014 final.

Kick-off is at 22:30 CEST at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
