Honest Ahanor will join Crystal Palace on loan from Atalanta, ahead of a pre-agreed transfer to Chelsea.

According to The Standard, Chelsea struck a deal for the 18-year-old, settled personal terms and allowed him to travel to London for a medical, but have now opted to place him at Palace on loan.

He will sign for Palace on loan, then move to Chelsea in summer 2027. This is because Chelsea have already sent a player on loan to Palace this summer, with Axel Disasi joining on a season-long arrangement that includes no option or obligation to buy.

Ahanor came through Genoa’s academy and has already played twice for Italy at senior level, making his debut earlier this year.

He made 28 Serie A appearances for Atalanta last season and featured in the Champions League for the first time in September.
