Ousmane Dembélé and Paris Saint-Germain have paused contract talks, with any decision expected after the season and shaped by the club's European run, according to L'Équipe.
He earns about €1.5 million gross per month, the squad's highest wage, and has two years left. Club focus is instead on Senny Mayulu and Bradley Barcola.
PSG's priority is the Champions League, with a third semi-final in three years within reach if they finish the job at Liverpool on Tuesday after a 2-0 first leg. How far they go could shape his future, and nothing is expected before season end.
An injury-hit autumn fed doubts, though since January Dembélé has looked closer to his status, yet finances remain sensitive. In January, president Nasser al-Khelaïfi said the club works to a salary cap and the team comes first.
Before the last-16 return on 17 March, he said nothing blocked an extension, adding the decision was not his. His Ballon d'Or has not yet brought full commercial upside.
If talks falter, England and Saudi Arabia are possible options, with Gulf interest so far not turning into formal offers, and he does not intend to engage before the season and the World Cup. He has noted that playing in Saudi Arabia's league has not prevented call-ups.
