Lang, 20, joined the Brig from North West Counties League Division One North side Thornton Cleveleys in November 2025, and has become an important player for the club, which has attracted interest from clubs higher up the pyramid.

Bamber have already turned down an offer this summer from National League outfit AFC Fylde, citing a need to "protect the interests of Bamber Bridge FC".

However, according to a fresh report from journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon page, EFL trio Wigan, Stockport, and Oldham are all keeping tabs on the powerful young midfielder.

With some of the success stories out of non-league in recent years, Lang could now be in line to become the next part-timer to make the jump onto the professional scene.

The EFL season got underway this weekend, with Stockport and Oldham both starting their respective league campaigns with victory, whilst Wigan fell to defeat at Cambridge United despite a late resurgence.

However, the Northern Premier League season has been up and running for a couple of weeks already for Bamber Bridge, who picked up their first victory of the campaign over Ashton United on Saturday, with Lang playing 90 minutes.

The young midfielder joined Bamber last November from Thornton Cleveleys, whom he was vice-captain of, and has gone on to establish himself as an integral part of Jamie Milligan's side.

So far this term, Lang has featured in all three of the Brigs league matches this season, where he scored a consolation goal in a heavy 6-1 defeat to Avro in game week two.

Now, according to a new update from Nixon, Wigan, Stockport and Oldham have all been watching the 20-year-old recently, as they weigh up making an offer to bring the midfielder into the EFL.

Lang, who currently works as a driver alongside his commitment to Bamber Bridge, could now be the next non-league gem in line to make the leap into the professional scene, as EFL clubs continue to explore the lower leagues to unearth diamonds.

We've seen over the last few years, plenty of players scouted from non-league go on to be a huge success in the EFL, and earning the club that took a punt on them huge profits.

Take Richard Kone, for example, who was found playing for Essex Senior League side Athletic Newham by Wycombe Wanderers, and would go on to score 21 goals across all competitions in his first full season of professional football and earn himself a £5m move to QPR.

With Wigan, Oldham and Stockport all keeping tabs on Lang, they will be hoping that he can become the next non-league success story, establishing himself in the first team at whichever club he moves to, before being sold on for a huge profit later down the line.

It will be interesting to see who lands Lang's signature this summer, if anyone, with Bamber Bridge seemingly keen to keep hold of their young prodigy.
