According to the Algemeen Dagblad, NEC Nijmegen have an asking price of 10 million euros for the 22-year-old goalkeeper.
Lille and West Ham United, among others, are showing “serious” interest in Roefs, the newspaper reports. In France, Roefs is reportedly considered one of the top contenders to succeed Lucas Chevalier as he looks to be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.
Once Lille complete that transfer, there’s a chance the club will approach Nijmegen. In that case, they’ll have to part with a significant chunk of Chevalier’s millions. “According to sources, NEC are considering an asking price of no less than 10 million euros, not the six million recently rumoured when he was linked to Ajax.”
With Roefs contracted in Nijmegen until the summer of 2028, NEC have a strong negotiating position. Roefs also has a very good European profile, according to the AD newspaper. “In recent weeks, Napoli had been angling for his services, but the Italian champions ultimately opted for Serbian international Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who joined from Torino.”
