FLW's Wolves fan pundit reacts to rumours of interest in Aston Villa forward Lewis Dobbin
Wolverhampton Wanderers have already made some big moves in the summer transfer window, but with the Old Gold having yet to spend a penny on transfer fees, that could be about to change sooner rather than later.
Wolves will be playing in the Championship for the first time since 2018 next season, with the Black Country outfit having made some key decisions following their relegation.
Both Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez have arrived at Molineux, adding a huge degree of experience to the club's ranks, whilst Rob Edwards has been dismissed and swiftly replaced by incoming Portuguese boss Cesar Peixoto.
As yet, Wolves haven't been linked with too many players, with numerous exits expected before the club will make additions.
As the weeks and months rumble on, expect things to heat up at Molineux, as things could well just be clicking into gear, with the Old Gold linked with a swoop for a Premier League forward.

With Peixoto now at the wheel, what Wolves' starting 11 on the opening day of the campaign will look like is anyone's guess.
Links have been few and far between at Wolves, but the Lancashire Post reported on Wednesday that Villa forward Lewis Dobbin was a player that Wolves were interested in, but face competition from Middlesbrough and Southampton.
Dobbin, 23, joined Villa from Everton for £10 million in the summer of 2024, and has since had spells out on loan with West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City, and most recently Preston North End, with whom he scored ten goals and grabbed eight assists in 39 league games last season.
Villa are understood to value the Englishman at around £9 million to £10 million, as Football League World's Wolves fan pundit, Thomas Woodhall, has shared their thoughts on his club's links with Dobbin, and whether he would be a good addition at Molineux for the alleged price.
Thomas said: "I think he fits the profile of players that we're after. Tricky wingers, technically capable to chip in with a goal and an assist. Speedy, but I'm not sure it's exactly the profile player we're looking for, especially if we're looking to bounce back.
"Is he going to be one of those players that's suitable for the Championship but not quite ready for the Premier League? It's all up in the air. Maybe he has a really good season, and then maybe he can make the jump.
"But yeah, I think it's just important that we're actually looking at players and players with a bit of experience in the Championship as opposed to what hasn't worked in the last few years, and that's buying players that don't have any experience in English football, and they're expecting them to work miracles.
"So yeah, it'd be interesting to see. And I think the valuation is fair for the contributions and for the pulling power that Wolves have got. We have to wait and see."

With both deals for Trippier and Jimenez having been wrapped up prior to his arrival, Peixoto is yet to stamp his authority on the Wolves squad since taking charge, and will no doubt be keen to change that sooner rather than later.
The 46-year-old did an excellent job in guiding Gil Vicente to a sixth-placed finish in the Portuguese top flight last season, and will be hoping for even more success in the Black Country next campaign.
Dobbin has come on leaps and bounds ever since his first loan spell in the second tier with West Brom, with his time at Deepdale doing his development the world of good.
The 23-year-old contributed to a goal in almost every other game in a fairly average Preston side last season, and with better players surrounding him, he could explode into life.
£9 million to £10 million certainly won't be a substantial fee for Wolves to pay, and as another option in the final third at Molineux, Peixoto could do a lot worse.
