Fosun, the owner of Wolverhampton Wanderers, has reported a revenue decline of about £2 billion in its latest annual results.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Chinese group posted nearly £19 billion in 2025 revenue and around £438 million in industrial operating profits, down 9.7 percent on 2024 when revenue was £21 billion and profit about £555 million.

The company recorded a book loss of roughly £2.5 billion, an accounting adjustment mainly tied to real estate valuations, 55 percent, and non-core assets, 45 percent. It said this did not affect operations or cash flow.

Chairman Guo Guangchang said the loss did not reflect a weakening in fundamentals and stemmed from prudent non-cash impairments on past projects, goodwill and intangible assets in non-core segments. He apologised for missing profit expectations and called the outcome unprecedented in more than 30 years.

Overseas revenue was about £10.4 billion, 54.7 percent of the total, up 5.4 percent.

The group said it maintained ample cash reserves, a solid net asset base and positive operating cash flow. Medium term, it aims to gradually restore annual profits to roughly £1.09 billion and prioritise sustainable growth over short-term gains.

Wolves confirmed a £15.3 million loss for 2024/25 and have made losses in four successive years, last posting an £18.4 million profit in 2020/21. The club are bottom of the Premier League, with relegation to the Championship a near certainty.
