Wolves have set out the early stages of pre-season, confirming friendlies at Maidenhead United and Heerenveen, plus a training camp in Portugal.

Rob Edwards’ side visit Heerenveen at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday 1 August, a two pm UK kick-off, three pm local time. The club said in a statement that talks with Heerenveen, police and local authorities about away fans, travel and allocations are ongoing and details will follow.

Wolves also head to Maidenhead United at York Road on Tuesday 21 July, kick-off at half past seven. The meeting with the National League South side is their first official friendly of the summer and was agreed two years ago as part of the deal that saw Max Kilman join West Ham for £40million in 2024.

Earlier in the summer the squad will hold a warm-weather training camp in Portugal, with no public matches scheduled during the trip.

Wolves are due to add further friendlies before the season begins with a Carabao Cup first round tie on the weekend of 7 August.
