Chelsea FC: Stamford Bridge will host the club’s first Women’s FA Cup tie

Chelsea FC said on the club’s official website that this will be the first-ever Women’s FA Cup contest staged at Stamford Bridge.

“History will be made when Chelsea Women host Manchester City Women next month – with the match being the first-ever Women’s FA Cup contest to be staged at Stamford Bridge.”

Sonia Bompastor’s side reached the last four by beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Monday, after earlier wins over Manchester United and Crystal Palace. The Blues are the competition holders, and the winners of this tie will meet either Liverpool or Brighton & Hove Albion at Wembley.

Ticket details: Pricing, access and matchday information

The semi-final follows Chelsea’s route through the competition after the Adobe Women’s FA Cup quarter-final draw set up the latter stages. The wider importance of the cup to clubs and supporters has also been underlined throughout this season’s competition.

Club Chelsea hospitality packages are on sale, including Bottomless at the Bridge, Families at the Bridge and Westview. Supporters requiring accessible tickets can apply during the sales period or contact the club’s Access Team, while in-seat drinking of alcoholic beverages will be permitted in all areas except Blocks WL1 and WL2 as part of the WSL Fan Choice Pilot.

The venue call comes amid continued discussion around attendances and supporter habits in the women’s game, with recent figures covered by She Kicks. There is also broader recent context around the competition itself in the Women’s FA Cup.
