On September 30, South Sudan officially announced its squad to face Senegal and Togo in matchdays 9 and 10 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Head coach Nicolas Dupuis has named a provisional group of 26 players for the final two rounds of World Cup 2026 qualifying. The squad features three goalkeepers: Majak Maling Mawith, Michael Marko Magut, and Godwill Yugusuk Simon. The defensive line includes twelve players, among them Samuel Taban Malis, Dhata Joseph Stephen, Pal Paul Puk, Toha Rashid Freedon, and Atir Thomas Tom. Dupuis has also called up Benjamin Laku Lotolek, Okocha Rashid Thomas, Wani Ivan Adebo, and Atendele Mawa to bolster the backline.

South Sudan will first take on the Teranga Lions of Senegal on October 10, before challenging the Sparrowhawks of Togo on October 16 to wrap up their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
