World Cup 2026: Spain’s Madrid celebrations, start time and how to watch | OneFootball

Spain have landed in Madrid after winning the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, claiming a second star 16 years after South Africa. Citywide celebrations take place this afternoon.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the squad will head to a hotel to rest, then prepare for an open-top bus parade and the traditional institutional receptions at the Palacio de la Zarzuela with King Felipe VI, and at the Palacio de la Moncloa with prime minister Pedro Sánchez.

The party begins at 19:00, when the world champions start an open-top bus tour through central Madrid to share their second world title with supporters. The route will mirror the one used after the European Championship triumph. A stage beside the Palacio de Comunicaciones will host festivities while awaiting the players, who are due around 21:00.

After that, the bus will continue to the Plaza de Cibeles, the final stop and the main act with fans. A special set-up will allow the players to celebrate with the crowd.

How to watch: The celebrations will be shown live on TVE and streamed via RTVE Play. Coverage of the arrival, the parade and the finale at Cibeles will also run on RNE and through RTVE Noticias’ minute-by-minute service.
