World Cup Millions Boost Al Ahly’s Finances Amid On Field Woes

Egyptian giants Al Ahly confirmed football surplus of EGP 45 million for the 2024 /25 financial year following strong revenues from international participation & commercial deals.

Record budget approved

The club’s board approved total budget of EGP 8.488 billion (176m dollar) for the year reflecting Al Ahly’s growing economic strength.

World Cup boost

Much of the surplus came from the team’s appearance at the FIFA club World cup which generated close to USD 11m before tax deductions.

Adidas partnership renewed

Al Ahly also confirmed the renewal of its long term kit partnership with Adidas running from 2026 to 2030. While financial details remain undisclosed, local media reported the deal to be worth USD 11m.

On field struggles
