Wrexham submit Jacques Ekomié offer | OneFootball

EFL Championship side Wrexham have submitted a verbal offer for SCO Angers’ Jacques Ekomié (23), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

The left-back will be allowed to leave Angers this summer. Since joining the club on a free transfer back in 2024, the Gabon international has made 54 appearances for Le Sco, but he may already have played his last for the Ligue 1 club. 

He has been the subject of interest throughout the window. Bundesliga side Hamburg have notably shown strong interest, however, they have yet to reach an agreement with Angers. Wrexham have now submitted a verbal bid worth €5m, Foot Mercato understands. However, the Welsh club’s interest is not expected to result in a deal. 

Ekomié, the publication adds, is not interested in a move to the Championship and has his eyes set on a move to Hamburg. The German side are expected to submit a fresh bid for the player in the coming hours.
