Yuri Alberto gets lowest rating for Corinthians in defeat to Bragantino

Corinthians took the field to face Red Bull Bragantino with an alternative lineup and were defeated 3-0 away from home. One of the starters who was rested was Yuri Alberto, who only came on in the second half and changed the team's playing dynamics, but missed chances and ended up with the worst rating on the team, according to Sofascore.

Yuri Alberto came on at the 20th minute of the second half, replacing Charles, and was on the pitch for a total of 26 minutes. During his time on the field, he had two great chances to find the back of the net—which would have tied the match at that point—but ended up wasting both and sealed Timão’s defeat with a negative goal difference of three.

The first opportunity came right after he entered. Matheus Bidu went to the edge of the penalty area and found the number 9, who took a shot but was stopped by a save from Bragantino’s goalkeeper Cleiton. This was the first big chance missed, as recorded by the statistics platform.

The second chance came from the other side. Matheuzinho appeared in attack after a pass from Carrillo and crossed into the middle of the box, finding Yuri Alberto. However, the striker couldn’t time his run for the ball and ended up not shooting, returning the ball to the opposing defense. This play, in fact, doesn’t even count as a shot for the striker.

With these missed chances, along with low participation in the game—two successful passes and one missed—Yuri Alberto finished the defeat with a rating of 5.5. This is the same rating as Hugo Souza, who conceded three goals but played the full 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
