Corinthians will be without Zakaria Labyad for Sunday’s 16th-round Brasileirão trip to Botafogo at Estádio Nilton Santos, kick-off 16:00. The midfielder felt pain in his right knee, did not travel with the squad and has begun treatment in São Paulo.

According to Meu Timao, the 33-year-old was announced on 22 February 2026 after last playing in November 2025 for Dalian Yingbo in China. Without a club afterwards, he underwent a tailored pre-season to rebuild fitness.

He joined on a free transfer and signed a deal to December 2026, with an option for one further year dependent on performance targets.

Labyad debuted on 11 March 2026, coming off the bench in a 2-0 home defeat to Coritiba at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão. Since then he has made nine further appearances, recording five wins, one draw and four losses, plus an assist in the 2-1 loss to Mirassol on 3 May for the youngster Dieguinho.

Used sparingly under Dorival Júnior, he has featured more since Fernando Diniz arrived in early April, playing in seven of 11 matches under the new coach, all as a substitute.

He now joins João Pedro Tchoca, Hugo Farias, Kayke and Vitinho in the medical room. Meanwhile, Charles and Memphis Depay are back from injury and in physical transition, though they are not yet ready to play.
