2025 MLS Cup holders Inter Miami add Puerto Rico friendly to 2026 Champions Tour | OneFootball

According to Inter Miami, the 2025 MLS Cup holders have added a pre-season fixture on 13 February at 8pm ET against Ecuadorian champions Independiente del Valle at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, as part of their 2026 Champions Tour.

The Caribbean date will be the club’s first-ever visit to Puerto Rico. It becomes their fourth warm-up match of the 2026 pre-season, alongside three games in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador announced last month.

Sporting director Guillermo Hoyos said the team are eager to see supporters in Puerto Rico and that facing Independiente del Valle will aid their season build-up.

The opponents are reigning LigaPro Serie A winners, having secured a historic second league title in December. They are preparing to defend the crown in the upcoming campaign.

Inter Miami will meet a second Ecuadorian side on this tour, with Independiente del Valle following the previously confirmed South American fixtures.
