2nd Barcelona star agrees Ajax move | OneFootball

A 2nd member of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week agreed to take his talents to the Netherlands, with Ajax.

The player in question? Jofre Torrents.

Business between the respective boards at Barca and Ajax has of course taken its place centre stage in the media headlines across Europe over the last 24 hours. This comes after Marc-André ter Stegen’s long-touted move to Amsterdam was at last made official. The German has linked up with Ajax on loan for the season ahead.

And as alluded to above, just a day on, those in a position of power at The Johan Cruyff Arena have closed an agreement for the signing of a 2nd member of Hansi Flick’s ranks.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The loan of Jofre Torrents to Ajax has been agreed between FC Barcelona and the Dutch club, and the final details are being worked out before the official announcement.’

Left-back Jofre is fresh off something of a breakout campaign in Catalunya’s capital in 2025/26. After catching the eye of Hansi Flick, the 19-year-old went on to rack up four first-team appearances, only stopped in his search for further outings by an injury setback.

He remains held in high regard in Barcelona, considered by the club’s coaching staff as a potential future starter.
