Sunderland supporters turned out in numbers at the Stadium of Light as Manchester United visited, another major Premier League occasion on Wearside.
According to Sunderland Echo, Régis Le Bris’ side set out to respond after recent frustration and delivered a strong showing. Their photographer captured the colour, noise and emotion in the stands.

Backed by a passionate home crowd, the Black Cats carved the clearer chances.
The noise rose from the opening stages as Sunderland pressed aggressively and pushed United back.
Former loanee Amad Diallo received warm applause, with a banner welcoming him back in the Roker End.
