Getafe head coach José Bordalás has provided his response to the criticisms directed at his side by Barcelona star Ferran Torres on Sunday.
Barcelona and Getafe of course locked horns in a La Liga clash yesterday evening.
When all was said and done, it was the former who emerged on the right side of a 3-0 result.
The aforementioned Ferran proved himself the star of the show, notching a fine brace to put the Blaugrana two goals to the good during the first-half.
Post-match, however, the Spanish international grabbed the headlines for altogether different reasons.
Speaking to the media following the full-time whistle at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Ferran was highly critical of Getafe and their tactical approach, sniping:
“Getafe foul too much in my opinion. They don’t play for anything.”
During his own press conference in the game’s aftermath, the subject of these comments was in turn put to Azulones boss José Bordalás.
And the Spanish tactician made use of the opportunity to hit back at Ferran, responding:
“Ferrans’s comment on my team? Well, that’s an opportunistic opinion, because the difference between us and them is a billion euros, no more, no less. I have nothing more to say about it. Barcelona is a team with players of a very high level.”
