Inter Milan will be hoping that Joaquin Correa can be a “lucky charm” against Hellas Verona and Udinese again.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Reportedly, forward Joaquin Correa will start for Inter Milan against Udinese this weekend.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to hand the Argentine a rare chance in the starting eleven.

Correa’s first start of the season saw him really make it count. The 30-year-old was the man of the match against Hellas Verona in a 5-0 win in November.

Meanwhile, that was a similar scenario to the current one. Inter were just coming back from an international break, and Inzaghi relied on the freshness of Correa, who had stayed behind and trained.

And it could be something similar against Udinese.

It didn’t go unnoticed that Correa’s heroics against Hellas Verona echoed his debut for Inter, meanwhile.

The Argentine had made his first appearance for the Nerazzurri in a 2-1 away win over the Gialloblu in 2021.

While Joaquin Correa did not end up making good on the promise of a brace in that match, he spearheaded a comeback on that occasion.

And that same inspiration seemed to be behind Correa’s performance in Verona in November.

One of the other highlights of Correa’s Inter career, meanwhile, was a second half brace against Udinese in his first season with the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, Tuttosport suggest, it could be another case of Correa finding his inspiration three years later.
