AC Milan is proud to announce the launch of its first Milan Junior Camp in Kosovo, set to take place from 9 to 13 July 2025. The Rossoneri return to Prishtina - six years after the men's First Team played a friendly match there in 2019 - in collaboration with Prishtina Women's Football Club (KFV Prishtina) and the Municipality of Prishtina, under Patronate of President of Kosovo H.E. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu.
KFV Prishtina has earned recognition for its pioneering mission to empower girls through football, positioning itself as a leading advocate for gender equality, safeguarding, and social impact. Its inclusive and education-driven approach makes it a natural partner for AC Milan's global youth development program. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to offering equal opportunities for all young athletes, reinforcing the belief that every child - regardless of gender - deserves the chance to dream, learn, and excel on the pitch.
The Milan Junior Camp will be held this summer at the National Football Camp in Hajvalia, Prishtina - the official training center of the Football Federation of Kosovo - in close partnership with the Federation. It will welcome boys and girls aged 6 to 17, offering top-tier training based on the AC Milan Method. Certified AC Milan coaches will lead a week of mentorship, technical development, and personal empowerment for young players. The program will open with a dedicated coaching workshop aimed at strengthening the skills of local trainers and football educators.
In an inspiring moment that symbolized both heritage and forward-looking collaboration, Casa Milan welcomed the spirit of Prishtina for an official visit, during which the Mayor of Pristhina Përparim Rama and KFV Prishtina Founder Armenda Filipaj formalized the launch of this landmark initiative.
This historic initiative marks the beginning of a new chapter for football in Kosovo, using the beautiful game as a platform for inclusion, unity, and personal growth. At its core, the project is dedicated to promoting gender equality and creating an environment where girls and boys can develop side by side, both as athletes and as individuals.
Franco Baresi, Honorary Vice President of AC Milan, commented: "We are delighted to return to Kosovo to launch our first Milan Junior Camp in the country, thanks to the collaboration with KFV Prishtina and the Municipality of Prishtina. Through this project, we aim not only to develop young players technically but also to pass on the values that have always been at the heart of AC Milan, inspiring and empowering the next generation."
Mayor of Pristhina Përparim Rama added: "This collaboration marks a proud milestone for Prishtina. Through sport, we invest in future leaders - girls and boys alike - who will carry forward the values of teamwork, resilience, and respect. AC Milan's return to Kosovo sends a powerful message: dreams know no borders, and every child deserves the opportunity to thrive."
Armenda Filipaj, Founder of KFV Prishtina, said: "This partnership is more than just a football camp - it is a celebration of courage, equal opportunity, and inclusion. Being part of this initiative, which champions both our girls and boys, fills us with pride and hope. With AC Milan as our partner, we are not only nurturing talent but actively shaping a future where every young athlete is seen, heard, and valued."
