AFCON 2025 is fast approaching. In just a few weeks, all the African nations will gather in Morocco to compete for the continental crown. But before the action kicks off on the pitch, attention turns to ticketing. A dedicated website has been launched: tickets.cafonline.com, and this is where everything will take place.

On Friday, after the first and second phases of ticket sales, CAF released some figures regarding the number of tickets sold internationally for AFCON, excluding African countries. It’s been an overwhelming success, as CAF explained: "Fans from all over the world are showing tremendous enthusiasm. International ticket sales have already far exceeded expectations."

The governing body of African football has every reason to thank France. While Italy, Spain, the USA, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands have each purchased between 1,000 and nearly 6,000 tickets, and Belgium has snapped up over 7,000, it’s France that stands out from the crowd. The French have smashed the sales figures, with over 109,000 tickets sold.
