Liverpool have reached an agreement with Andoni Iraola to replace Arne Slot in the Anfield dugout.
The Reds decided to sack Premier League winning manager Slot at the weekend despite previous assurances from senior figures at the club that they would stick with their manager.
Now, Iraola is set to take Slot's place with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that the club have reached an 'agreement in principle'.
Iraola had been linked with various clubs since announcing his departure from Bournemouth with the Spaniard reported to have had talks with Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen.
The 43-year-old first took over at the Cherries in the summer of 2023 overseeing 127 games with a record of 47 wins, 40 draws, and 40 defeats.
A sixth-placed finish this season guaranteed Europa League football for Bournemouth but Iraola will now be in the Champions League with Liverpool.
