CR Belouizdad secured their place in the Algerian Cup semi-finals by overcoming MC Alger (3-2 after extra time) in a thrilling derby.

This qualification further cements CRB’s reputation as MC Alger’s bogey team in the competition, marking the third consecutive time Mouloudia have been knocked out by this rival in the Algerian Cup.

The Red and Whites defeated their rivals in the 2024 final with a narrow 1-0 victory, dashing their hopes of reclaiming the trophy.

A year later, CRB relied on Aymen Mahious to eliminate MCA in the Round of 16 and pave their way to the final, where they ultimately lost to USMA (2-0).

Belouizdad have now made history by becoming the first team to reach the semi-finals four times in a row. If they defeat CS Constantine in the semi-final, they will play in their fourth consecutive cup final (one win, two defeats).
