Manchester City will be hoping that Foden can play next weekend to kick-start his 25/26 season.

Phil Foden does loom as an important player for Manchester City next season. If he can return to his best after a tough 24/25 season he could hold the keys to City’s season. At his best Foden is one of the best players in the Premier League. The hope is that Foden can get back to that level as quickly as possible from a Manchester City point of view.

On the fitness front, it is hoped that Foden can play next weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers. A good performance against Wolves could kick-start Foden’s 25/26 season. But he will have to overcome the ankle injury he has sustained. That will be the focus of attention next week to see if Foden will be ready to play on the opening day of the 25/26 season.
