Ancelotti confirms Danilo in Brazil’s World Cup squad | OneFootball

With the March FIFA window still open, Carlo Ancelotti said on Monday 30 that Flamengo centre-back Danilo is guaranteed a place in Brazil’s final World Cup squad. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Brazil coach made the call during a press conference.

Ancelotti added that he was tired of repeating the point, stressing Danilo’s value on and off the pitch. He praised the defender’s character, personality and play, and said Danilo will be among the nine defenders selected.

Brazil face their final warm-up on Tuesday 31, taking on Croatia at 21:00 Brasília time at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

The final 26-man squad will be announced on 18 May 2026 for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Preparation begins on 25 May at Granja Comary in Teresópolis in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro state.

The World Cup runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026. It will be the first to be staged across three countries at once and will feature 48 teams.

Brazil open their campaign on 13 June against Morocco at 19:00 Brasília time in Group C at MetLife Stadium in the United States.
