According to TNT, Fabrizio Angileri and Zakaria Labyad are due in São Paulo on Sunday night to sign contracts with Corinthians until the end of 2026.

Both are free agents, will complete medical checks and final paperwork in Brazil.

Angileri is a familiar face. Corinthians signed him at the start of last year, and his deal expired on 31 December 2025. Since then, the club and his representatives had been negotiating a renewal.

Early this year, football executive Marcelo Paz halted talks, judging Corinthians had reached its financial limit. The main obstacle was the signing-on fee requested by the player. In recent days, discussions resumed and moved forward towards a new agreement.

Labyad is little known to supporters. He has been without a club since his Dalian Yingbo stint in China ended, having spent the past two years there. He played alongside Memphis Depay in 2011/2012, and in August 2025 the Dutchman urged him on Instagram to come to Brazil.

Labyad came through PSV’s academy, like Depay. He later played for Sporting in Portugal, as well as FC Utrecht and Ajax, before moving to China.
