Anísio Cabral came off the bench to head Benfica past Alverca, his late winner sealing a 2-1 victory and marking the youngest match-winning goal for the club in 50 years.
According to Playmaker, the No 72 is the third Benfica player to clinch a win at such a young age, joining Fernando Chalana and Espírito Santo.
At 17 years, 11 months and 25 days, he ranks third-youngest to achieve the feat, with Chalana and Espírito Santo having done so at even younger ages.
An under-17 world champion, the forward earned fulsome praise from José Mourinho in a news conference. Mourinho urged him to keep his head and said the youngster reminds him of Didier Drogba.
This season Cabral has made three Liga Portugal Betclic appearances for Benfica, totalling 19 minutes on the pitch. He has scored two headed goals in that time.
