The federation announced that Estadio Alberto J. Armando, better known as La Bombonera, will host Argentina’s friendly with Guatemala on 31 March, the national team’s final warm-up before the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The fixture follows the suspension of the originally scheduled meeting with Spain for the Finalissima, which was called off amid the geopolitical situation in the Middle East and a lack of agreement between the federations.

Argentina have not played at La Bombonera since November 2024, when they beat Peru 1-0 in qualifying for 2026.
Lionel Messi and Lionel Scaloni’s squad are already focused on the World Cup, with preparations now centred on sharpening details.
La Bombonera is Boca Juniors’ historic home.
