The Audi Summer Tour offers a direct link to our guys: in the short format ‘Tour Talk’, the FC Bayern players take you right along with them to Jeju and Hong Kong. They’ll talk about the special atmosphere in the camp, pre-season, the new season and their personal aims – brief, compact and personal. And there’s also something for you to win at the end.

After part one with Jonathan Tah, it’s the turn of Arijon Ibrahimović, who’s played for FC Bayern since the age of 12. We spoke to Ari about his pal Nathaniel “Nene” Brown, his role in the team, a shirt swap with Luis Díaz and much more.

Ibrahimović on…

… the Audi Summer Tour

“I was involved in the Audi Summer Tour before in 2023 in Tokyo and Singapore. I still remember Frans Krätzig scoring a great goal against Liverpool then. We had a lot of nice moments in Tokyo. It’s special every time and a great experience, also seeing different sides of the world.”

… Asia

“I’ve never been to South Korea before. The people gave us a great welcome, everyone’s very warm and friendly. And the temperatures are certainly very, very high (laughs). Just the welcome in Jeju with so many enthusiastic fans was very special.”

… pre-season progress

“It’s been very intensive but that’s the nature of pre-season. A few guys have joined the group over the last week and now we’re just carrying on. We’ve got some good friendlies coming up and then it will soon start again.”

… individual training with coach Kompany

“It was very cool that he came to me and gave me my own finishing practice. It was specifically about sharpening my concentration in finishing.”

… his role in the team

“I can play everywhere in attack: left, right, in the 10 or up front. I even played a few games at right-back at Heidenheim.”

… Luis Díaz

“I only got to know Lucho at the start of the tour. He’s a really good, funny character who brings a lot of energy. I’m looking forward to the time with him and I can learn a lot from watching him – especially his flair and creativity. When we were in Tokyo three years ago, we played against Liverpool and Lucho. We swapped shirts at the final whistle (laughs).”

… new signing Nathaniel Brown

“He played with my older brother Leo in Nuremberg back in the day, so I've known him for a very long time. They're still very, very good friends. I'm happy that Nene is here now, he's a lot of fun. We also played against each other last season when he was in Frankfurt. On Friday last week, before we flew to Asia, he, my brother and I spent the day together in Munich. I want to show him nice places to eat and which parts of Munich are particularly cool. And of course, I want to make his settling in at Säbener Straße easier.”

… aims for the season

“I want to rack up as many minutes as possible – whether it’s in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup or Champions League. And I want to win as many trophies as possible with FC Bayern.”
