Aritz, Sucic y Zakharyan recover in time for Vallecas | OneFootball

According to Diario Vasco, Aritz Elustondo, Luka Sucic and Arsen Zakharyan return to Real Sociedad’s 24-man squad for Sunday’s 14:00 trip to Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas, though they are not expected to start.

The trio had recent fitness problems and were late additions to the list named by Pellegrino Matarazzo. Yangel Herrera has resumed training as planned and is included.

Guedes remains sidelined, while Karrikaburu, who suffered an ankle sprain against Getafe, joins an injury group that already contained Zubeldia, Odriozola and Rupérez.

Caleta-Car is available after the Spanish federations disciplinary committee rescinded the yellow card he received on Wednesday, which was his fifth, due to a manifest material error in the match report. His presence offers cover given Zubeldias absence and ongoing doubts over Aritzs fitness.

The development reduces Beitias chances of starting or even featuring. The Elgoibar centre-back, one of two academy call-ups with goalkeeper Aitor Fraga, had seemed likely to partner Jon Martdn in Vallecas, but now sits behind Caleta-Car, who is in line to start, and Aritz.

Aritz sustained a concussion and a heavy blow to his back in the same fall against Getafe.
