PSG will have 13 days to prepare for the Champions League final against Arsenal

PSG, meanwhile, edged past Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate and will attempt to defend the title they won last season by thumping Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.

Both teams have had contrasting runs to the final. Arsenal have relied on their defence, conceding just two goals in the knockout phase - none of which from open play.

On the other hand, PSG have been fearsome in attack, putting eight past Chelsea, six past Bayern, five past Monaco and four past Liverpool across two legs.

As a result, an intriguing showdown awaits in Budapest. Will Arsenal’s defence be strong enough to dethrone PSG? Or will the holders’ world class forward fire them to back-to-back Champions League final wins?

Europe’s ultimate prize: The Champions League

With that said, both teams have to put the upcoming European final on the backburner as they seek to be crowned Premier League and Ligue 1 champions respectively.

This Sunday sees the Gunners face a West Ham side battling for survival, while the Parisians welcome Brest to the Parc des Princes in what is their final home of the season.

Interestingly though, PSG will have 13 days to prepare for the Champions League final as their last game of the Ligue 1 season is on May 17 against neighbours Paris FC.

Furthermore, the title race in France could be wrapped up beforehand as they can be crowned champions with a win or a draw against Lens next Wednesday.

Arsenal play twice after PSG’s last game of the domestic campaign and must win their remaining three matches to be guaranteed the Premier League title, regardless of Manchester City’s results.
