In a recent report for the Daily Briefing, journalist Mark Brus revealed that Arsenal are in talks to recruit Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eager to acquire the services of the Brazilian talent, but are facing competition from Chelsea in pursuit of him.
The 20-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Corinthians and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. Bidon has already made 107 senior appearances for the Brazilian club so far, scoring four goals and grabbing three assists in the process across various competitions.
The Brazilian whizkid is currently among the best young midfielders in South American football. Thus, the Gunners would do well to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
His current contract at the Brazilian club will run out at the end of 2029. Therefore, Arsenal would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Bidon at the end of this campaign.

Bidon doesn’t mind working hard for his team defensively and can strike the ball with venom from long range. He has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
However, the Brazilian talent is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level. Furthermore, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up this summer.
We can expect Bidon to enhance the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s midfield in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a good, rotational piece in the North London club’s squad.
At 20, the future looks quite bright for Bidon as long as he continues to improve with each season. All in all, he is a prospect to watch out for in the future, so the Gunners would be wise to step up their efforts to sign him at the end of this campaign.
