A member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is attracting transfer interest by way of the Premier League.

That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who points towards

Valdepeñas, for his part, is an 18-year-old defender, who generally operates in a central role, but is also capable of taking to the pitch at left-back.

The Spaniard has long been held in high regard behind the scenes at Valdebebas, considered a potential future first-team star in the making.

At present, Valdepeñas is plying his trade with Real Madrid Castilla.

And his ongoing excellence for Los Blancos’ reserve outfit has evidently begun to pique attentions outside of his home country…

As confirmed by the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, speaking on the ‘Here We Go Podcast’ on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Valdepeñas’ development.

This comes with a view to a potential future Gunners swoop for the defender.
