Eberechi Eze stole the show against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and his heroics saw him etch his name into the Arsenal record books. The former Crystal Palace man was the star of the show as the Gunners dismantled a far inferior Tottenham Hotspur side at the Emirates Stadium to return to winning ways. The midfielder scored a hat trick thanks to goals either side of the break in his first north London derby. Leandro Trossard was also on target as the Gunners won by a convincing 4 to 1 scoreline. That win saw the Gunners extend their lead on the summit to six points, while taking advantage of their rivals slip up to maintain a foothold in the title race.
Coming back to Eberechi Eze’s heroics. He became the first Gunner to score a Premier League hat trick against Spurs, and also the first player to do so in the English top flight since Alan Sunderland in December 1978. Furthermore, Eze became only the fourth player to score a top flight hat trick against our bitter rivals, joining the aforementioned Sunderland as well as Terry Dyson and Ted Drake. Eze is in esteemed company and I am sure he will no doubt take pride in his north London derby heroics. He could have and probably should have gotten one or two more goals for his efforts, an illustration of just how good he was throughout the game.

The result will give Eberechi Eze and Arsenal confidence heading into a tricky fixture list. Bayern Munich will probably represent our biggest challenge yet and we are set to do battle on Wednesday night at the Emirates. With Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke returning for the Spurs clash, we are poised to welcome back a few other big names ahead of the game. The Gunners will therefore find themselves in a great position to continue their brilliant streak.
How happy are you with Eberechi Eze Gooners?
