Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres remains a doubt for the weekend when the Gunners host Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, according to Hand of Arsenal.

Hand of Arsenal is a Gunners account and insider famous for breaking major transfer news about the North London club and is followed by the likes of Dharmesh Sheth, Charles Watts, Miguel Delaney, Fabrizio Romano and Sami Mokbel on X.

They have proven to be a trusted source concerning all things Arsenal, and they have claimed this morning that the Sweden international is very likely to miss the North London derby.

Gyokeres played the first-half to help the Gunners to a 2-0 win over Burnley earlier this month but was withdrawn at half-time due to a knock.

The Arsenal summer signing missed the games against Slavia Prague and Sunderland AFC and could now be unavailable against Spurs.

The Gunners were hoping he would be available for selection, but it appears the game will come too early for him.

Arsenal have some injury boosts as Noni Madueke is expected to return having come close to making the matchday squad against the Black Cats.

The attacking trio of Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard could also be available in a much-needed boost for manager Mikel Arteta.

Victory over Tottenham will come in handy and help the Gunners strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table.

Being without Gyokeres for the game is a huge blow but Arteta has Mikel Merino to call upon in the position.

The Spanish midfielder has been in a rich vein of form in front of goal this term, with nine goals to his name for both club and country since August.

He could be deployed to lead the line against Spurs as Havertz is unlikely to start even if fit, while Gyokeres still have plenty of time to recover before the weekend.
