Aston Villa identify Guillaume Restes as Emiliano Martínez’s replacement | OneFootball

Aston Villa have identified Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes (21) as a replacement for Emiliano Martínez (33), should the Argentina international goalkeeper depart during the summer transfer window, according to a report from The Athletic. The Premier League outfit do not want to lose the 33-year-old but would be willing to entertain sensible offers for the World Cup winner should they arrive. Juventus are reportedly interested in his services. 

Aston Villa learn Restes price and consider alternative targets

Toulouse would be willing to sell the 21-year-old goalkeeper should their asking price be met. The Athletic understands that Les Violets value Restes in the region of £20m. This figure isn’t thought to be an issue for the West Midlands outfit. The French goalkeeper isn’t the only target considered by Aston Villa, they are also interested in Parma’s Zion Suzuki. However, any move for a goalkeeper is solely dependent on Martinez’s future with the club.
