Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has insisted new boy Kristoffer Lund is ‘a really good fit for the Championship’ and pointed towards his ‘athleticism and pace’ as key attributes.
Blues have been making moves in the summer transfer window and have already signed Jhon Solis, Dael Fry, and Luis Vazquez, who has been praised by Davies.
Lund becomes yet another permanent signing for the club and he has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at St. Andrews’.
Davies has insisted that Lund is a good fit for the Championship due to his athleticism, speed, tackling abilities, good aerial presence and strength.
The Birmingham City boss believes Lund can contribute at both ends of the pitch and feels that, having been at 1.FC Koln last season, his experience of playing in the Bundesliga consistently further proves his quality as a player.

Davies said on Birmingham City’s website: “Kristoffer is a player we identified for his athleticism and pace, and we believe those qualities make him a really good fit for the Championship.
“He is strong defensively, tenacious in his duels and he has the physical attributes to compete consistently at this level.
“At the same time, he has the ability to contribute going forward, so he’ll give us another option both defensively and offensively.
“He was a regular starter in the Bundesliga last season, which is another indication of the level he’s capable of performing at, despite still only being 24 years old.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming him into the group and seeing him show his qualities in a Birmingham City shirt.”

In the recent campaign, Lund spent the entire season at German side Koln after being loaned out by parent club Palermo.
The 24-year-old made 35 appearances in all competitions and also provided two assists, while playing several different positions during the course of the season.
The US international has joined the club while they are preparing for the last match of pre-season against Barcelona next at St. Andrews’.
Blues have been seeking to make improvements in the squad during the course of the transfer window, and have shown interest in midfielder Romeo Amane, but face competition from several clubs.
Besides that, Birmingham City have also been in the race to sign striker Sammie Szmodics from Ipswich Town, but fellow Championship side Derby County are already in talks with the newly promoted Premier League side.
Davies is facing a crunch start to the new season, with questions around his failure to get Blues into a playoff spot last season meaning some are unsure if he is still the right man.
