After the victory against Lecce, Roma is preparing for their next match against Sassuolo, scheduled for Saturday at the Olimpico.
Dovbyk was injured again against the Salento side, forcing the Giallorossi to further accelerate their transfer window.
At the same time, they’re also working on their outgoing players, with Baldanzi now close to being sold.
The attacking midfielder seemed close to joining Verona until a few days ago, but as Tuttosport reports, he’s now one step away from joining Fiorentina.
In the last few hours, Fiorentina have significantly accelerated the deal, beating off competition from the Venetians.
Pisa, however, has now been ruled out.
An agreement has now been reached, but one final crucial piece is missing. Gasperini has given the green light, but he doesn’t intend to release Baldanzi until a replacement arrives at Trigoria.
Tensions between the coach and Massara have increased in recent hours due to the lack of transfer reinforcements. A meeting with the Friedkins is scheduled for today to resolve the situation.
Meanwhile, Baldanzi is waiting and continuing to work on his recovery from injury.
He’ll try to secure a call-up to the Sassuolo match, otherwise he’ll return to the Coppa Italia against Torino on January 13th.
