Vicky Lopez, Barcelona's attacking midfielder and Spanish international, clinched the first-ever women's Kopa Trophy on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris. She finished ahead of Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid) and Wieke Kaptein (Chelsea).

Vicky Lopez made Ballon d'Or history by becoming the first player to win the women's Kopa Trophy, a new award introduced by France Football. This prize, reserved for talents under 21, was presented during the 69th Ballon d'Or ceremony. The Barça midfielder was chosen over Linda Caicedo, Michelle Agyemang, Wieke Kaptein, and Claudia Martinez Ovando.
