After the match, Hansi Flick criticized his players, accusing them of neglecting the team spirit. "Last year, we played and worked as a team, and the most important thing is that there are no egos, because that harms the team's success." he declared. "Everyone can think what they want. After a draw, we’re angry—ultimately, we need to win—but I don’t think it has anything to do with egos. We’ve picked up seven points out of nine in some really tough stadiums, which people don’t take into account. We haven’t played at home yet, only away. I don’t think it’s about that at all, it’s simply that it wasn’t our game—we didn’t start with the same intensity we finished with. You’re right, we made a lot of mistakes, but that can happen.
