Barcelona will almost certainly seek to sign a new number nine next summer, with Robert Lewandowski expected to leave when his contract comes to an end. A number of targets have already been lined up, and one of them is reported to be Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy.
Guirassy, who scored a hat-trick against Barcelona last season in the Champions League, has been in prolific form since 2023, having scored 74 goals in 88 matches for Stuttgart and Dortmund. His level of performance has seen him attract the interest of Hansi Flick, who wants him as his new starting striker in 2026.
And there is now an increased chance that Barcelona make a move for Guirassy next summer, with Bild (via MD) reporting that Bortmund are prepared to let him leave if they receive an offer of €65m.

According to the report, Guirassy has informed Dortmund of his desire to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona, which is why the Bundesliga giants have agreed to lower their asking price for those two clubs from €100m to €65m.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco are not as keen on signing Guirassy, but Flick’s desire could very well win out in this situation – especially if Atletico Madrid’s asking price for Julian Alvarez is considered to be out of reach.
At 29, Guirassy still has many more years left at the top level of European football, where he has been very prolific in the last three seasons. Barcelona could do a lot worse than signing him, especially as he would be a very good fit for Flick’s system.
It remains to be seen whether Guirassy ends up being the striker that Barcelona prioritise next summer, with that decision unlikely to be made for some time yet.
