According to a report from Foot Mercato, clubs across Europe are lining up to try and secure Bayern Munich centre-back Dayot Upamecano (26).

Bayern’s contract with the France international expires at the end of the season, and negotiations over a contract extension have hit an impasse and are reportedly no longer progressing. It’s been previously reported that a long-term contract is on the table, but it is not an offer that matches the demands of the player’s entourage. Upamecano has reportedly not ruled out remaining with the Bundesliga side, but until an extension has been agreed, speculation mounts.

Teams in England are on the lookout, with Manchester United and Liverpool having been linked. However, Foot Mercato writes that Real Madrid and Barcelona have been making moves behind the scenes to try and overtake their competition. The two rival La Liga sides both appreciate the centre-back and could clash in the transfer market over securing his signature.
