Barcelona are now interested in 22-year-old Real Sociedad player to reinforce their flanks | OneFootball

The forward line is one of the areas of the team that FC Barcelona will be looking to strengthen with the highest priority in the next summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Blaugranes will also look to reinforce some other areas of the team, most likely of them being the fullback positions. Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are Hansi Flick’s starters on the flanks this season, and both have been performing at a very high level.

However, Barcelona believe their replacements, Gerard Martin and Hector Fort, lack the experience to play for the first team at the highest level and thus are looking to bring in a versatile and competent player to rotate with the two starters.

In such a context, the Catalans have been linked with several players for these positions in the last few weeks, including the Espanyol fullback Omar El Hilali.

According to Fichajes, another player from La Liga who is attracting the attention of the Blaugranes to reinforce this position is the Real Sociedad defender Jon Mikel Aramburu, who has been one of the revelations for La Real this season and can play on both flanks.

The 22-year-old Venezuelan defender has stood out with his consistency and has been a key part of Imanol Alguacil’s side this season, having already played 36 games. He has a contract with Real Sociedad till 2030 with a €60 million release clause, and both these factors mean getting him will not really be easy for Barcelona.

Barcelona are particularly impressed with his versatility, experience of playing in La Liga, and for his youth.

However, the txuri-urdin side will not be too keen to part ways with such an important player. Thus, one of the ways that the Catalans can get the defender is by including some players in a potential transfer operation.

Still, it remains to be seen how this operation will pan out in the coming weeks, but Barcelona’s interest in him shows their willingness to reinforce the flanks next summer.
