Barcelona president Joan Laporta has late this week sent some advice the way of the Spanish national team coaching staff.

This comes in an effort to ensure the wellbeing of star Blaugrana winger Lamine Yamal.

Youngster Lamine was for his part afforded a fresh call-up to national team duty on Friday, ahead of an upcoming pair of World Cup qualifiers.

The attacker’s time on the international front has sparked widespread chatter in Catalunya’s capital of late, after Lamine suffered an injury setback whilst under the watch of La Roja back in September.

During an appearance at Barcelona’s open training session at the Spotify Camp Nou earlier today, Joan Laporta therefore made use of the opportunity to send a piece of advice the way of Luis de la Fuente and his staff.

After first lavishing praise on the oft-criticised Lamine, Barca’s president explained:

“Going to the national team is an honour. Lamine is incredible. But I’d like Spain to manage his playing time better. I consider Lamine to have exceptional skills.”
