The pressure of managing Barcelona is never light, and Hansi Flick is now feeling its full weight.

Following the disappointing 1-4 defeat to Sevilla, questions have naturally surfaced around the German manager’s leadership.

However, according to reports from SPORT, the club’s management continues to stand firmly behind him.

There is no panic inside the dressing room or among the board, only calm and faith that the situation will be turned around.

Meeting with Laporta

The back-to-back defeats in the Champions League and La Liga have not set off alarm bells. Instead, the club has used the situation to analyse what went wrong and how to fix it.

As such, President Joan Laporta personally met Flick on the flight back from Seville to express full support for his decisions and his long-term project.

The belief within the club remains that Flick is the right man to guide the team back on track and that Barcelona will still compete for every title this season.

Flick determined to correct shortcomings

While the defeat was painful, Flick has not shied away from responsibility. He was the first to acknowledge the team’s mistakes, both individually and collectively.

Still, he has chosen to remain positive, seeing these losses as opportunities to grow stronger for the rest of the campaign.

In fact, Flick has already identified key areas that need improvement, particularly in defensive organisation and pressing, and plans to use the international break to work on those aspects.

Inside Barcelona, there is a sense of perspective. The current results mirror the same phase of last season, when early setbacks eventually gave way to strong performances.

With the board’s faith and the players’ determination, Flick remains confident that Barcelona will bounce back and finish the season as a genuine contender for every competition.
