Barcelona ‘making progress’ in move for Inter Milan star | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have taken strides forward in efforts to bring Lautaro Martínez to Catalunya’s capital from Inter Milan.

This comes with the Argentine’s profile considered an increasingly desirable one on the part of those behind the scenes at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona are of course widely expected to bring in a new centre-forward with a view to next season.

As much comes ahead of the expiration of veteran frontman Robert Lewandowski’s contract terms with the club.

A whole host of attackers from across the continent, in turn, have been tipped as potential arrivals in Hansi Flick’s squad next summer.

Recent days, though, have seen the name of the aforementioned Lautaro pushed clear of all others.

As per a report from Fichajes:

‘Lautaro Martínez has become the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona don’t want to miss the opportunity.’

The Argentine is for his part said to be more than keen on the prospect of a Blaugrana switch, which could prove key in Deco and co. finding a deal with an Inter board who have little desire to part with their star attacker.

Barca, in turn, are labelled as ‘making progress’ in their pursuit of Lautaro’s signature.
