September 1 is not only the day the courts reopen — it is also the final day of the transfer window. This coincidence could put both Barça and Olmo in a dangerous position.

If the Court rules in favor of Barça, Olmo’s registration will remain secure under the current precautionary measure. But if the Court sides with La Liga, Barcelona faces two risky outcomes:

Why the 1:1 rule is decisive

Barcelona’s safest option is to restore compliance with La Liga’s 1:1 financial fair play rule before the transfer window closes. Achieving 1:1 would allow the club to cancel and re-register Olmo without risk, insulating his continuity from any adverse court ruling.
