In recent weeks, Marc Casado’s name has been linked to potential moves away from FC Barcelona.
The intense competition for places in the midfield department, coupled with the club’s Fair Play woes, has served to fuel the speculations.
After all, Casado finds himself behind the likes of Gavi, Pedri, and Frenkie de Jong in the pecking order and Marc Bernal’s return to fitness further affects his chances.
However, according to SPORT, Casado cannot imagine his career without Barcelona. The young midfielder, who has been at the club since 2016, has one clear ambition: to succeed in the first team.
Casado is not at all intimidated by the fierce competition in midfield or the presence of established stars. On the contrary, he believes he has the quality and character to impose himself and earn a place in Hansi Flick’s plans.
Offers have not been in short supply. Several high-profile clubs have made approaches, and Casado has listened politely, grateful for the interest, but has taken no steps toward leaving.

All of this does not distract him from his main focus: the current season, earning more minutes, and helping Barcelona succeed.
Only if, over time, he realises he is not getting the role he wants would he consider looking for other opportunities. For now, he has no intention of leaving the club of his life.
This is not the first time Casado has faced tough decisions regarding his future at Barcelona. When Xavi Hernández did not use him regularly, he had tempting offers to leave the reserves and take a big career leap.
Instead, he chose to stay and continue his development at home, a rare decision in modern football, where many young players chase immediate minutes or high salaries in less competitive leagues.
Casado did the opposite – he stayed, worked, and when the opportunity came under Flick last season, he delivered.
The La Masia graduate knows that the season is long and his chance will come. In the meantime, he trains with the same intensity as when he first debuted, so that he is ready whenever Barcelona need him.
